Epstein had huge cache of child sex pics; victims sue to find out who's in them
On Tuesday, two survivors of child sex abuse accused the Justice Department of failing to notify dozens of victims found in Jeffrey Epstein’s massive collection of child sex images.
In a proposed class action, survivors explained that Epstein apparently started collecting child sex images in the 1990s, many of which the DOJ recovered after his arrest. In 2025, the FBI started reviewing “tens of thousands of videos” containing illegal child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and issued a memo confirming that “a large volume of images” seized depicted likely minors.
Some of these victims may have had contact with Epstein, as the disgraced financier kept a "modelbook" of nude photos of young girls roped into his ring. However, the FBI also identified hundreds of CSAM images in cache, which include approximately 15–20 images of known CSAM dating back to the 1990s. And so far, the DOJ has largely ignored those victims, who likely never met Epstein and have no way of knowing if he possessed, transported, or traded their images, survivors alleged.

我的分析
TL;DR 这个确实重判了。
- 不是因为五年是该罪名下的最轻刑。 如果要判低一些，有大量的其他罪名可以选；
- 这个行为不是过失犯罪，那就是故意行为。故意的话需要有主观动机。 案犯的目的不是为了删除集群资源。他是为了利用闲置资源，错误释放了不该释放的资源。主观上没有直接删除模型资源的故意。 否则，如果他另有所图，也不会启动删除然后什么都不做就下班了。 按照存疑有利于被告原则，不应该这么搞。
- 对计算机系统的论证太牵强。报道中说的是“训练数据被删除，直接导致模型训练的数据结构遭到破坏，影响模型训练功能的正常运行。” 模型对用户提供服务的方式是推理。 算法工程师的工作是训练模型。 从描述看，对外服务的系统没有遭受破坏， 也没有用户收到影响。（收到影响的是雇主公司的研发目标）
- 从损害结果来看， 算成了 20 万元经济损失。也很牵强，报道用的是《检察官指出》，而不是法院的《本院认为》。“检察官经审查认为，王某的删除行为导致原本满负荷运转的集群 GPU （图形处理器）利用率直接归零，模型训练进程中断、算力资源闲置，集群系统在修复期间完全丧失了核心功能。公司为恢复数据、重启训练，既投入了人力成本，又投入了算力成本。算力作为驱动数字经济的“新型能源”，是人工智能大模型训练的核心生产要素。人力和算力成本均为公司为消除犯罪行为造成的危害、恢复系统功能而必须投入的成本，理应将算力支出纳入经济损失认定。” 导致集群闲置，能直接视为损失吗？ 集群闲置时，不能调度其他作业吗？ 公司投入了人力和算力，最后合计 20 万元。 北京的朋友算一算大概相当于几个人工的加班费？ 我预估约 2-4 个人月的 1.5 倍加班费。
- 全文没有辩护律师的意见。被告应该找个大律师，如果辩护意见不被尊重，那么也有公开发声渠道。
我的结论和以前与 V 友讨论过的保持一致：在国内，法庭较量是双方斗争的延续。 在现实社会斗不过的， 法庭上依然斗不过。 谁赢我帮谁。

发布会上介绍，全国微短剧用户已超 8 亿，2025 年市场规模突破千亿元。今年前 8 个月，上线微短剧 43 万部，是去年全年的 13 倍，其中 AI 剧占比超九成，主要是人工智能技术在微短剧创作中得以广泛应用。AI 技术为微短剧降本增效、创新表达打开了新空间，同时也带来权益保护、内容质量等新挑战。
真人剧是精品创作的主力，要大力扶持。深入实施“微短剧精品创作传播计划”，指导平台开设“真人剧”专区，拿出真金白银来扶持，让好作品有市场、有回报。
AI 剧发展很快、占比很高，坚持鼓励创新与守住底线并重，要求 AI 剧打上内容标注，推动平台严守肖像、声音授权底线，全流程把关。归根结底，AI 是工具，人是创作的主体。AI 剧发展越快，越要把好内容关。
今年以来，坚持问题导向，把有害低俗、儿童不良、盗版侵权的内容作为治理重点，全网下架违规微短剧 6.8 万部。把好内容关，平台负有主体责任，要持续压紧压实，着力净化行业生态。
IT之家注意到，9 月 1 日，国家广播电视总局《微短剧发展管理办法》正式实施。这是我国首部针对微短剧领域的专项部门规章，法律效力层级高于此前行业指引类规范性文件。
《办法》核心确立分类分级管理机制，根据投资额度与题材属性，将微短剧划分为一类、二类、三类三个层级，对应不同的备案与审核要求。分类标准由广电总局制定，并结合行业发展实际适时动态调整。
与此同时，“微短剧统一标识”同步实施。“微短剧统一标识”以苔花为灵感，采用红底金标，将首次出现在一类微短剧的片头，时长三秒钟。此外，苔花将在每一集右上角持续存在。
苹果、三星和谷歌在美遭 337 调查，涉特定音频技术
IT之家 9 月 17 日消息，美国国际贸易委员会（ITC）当地时间 9 月 16 日宣布，已决定对部分采用特定音频技术的电子设备启动 337 调查，调查编号为 337-TA-1521。苹果、三星电子及其美国子公司、谷歌被列为调查对象。
IT之家注：337 调查是 ITC 依据美国《1930 年关税法》第 337 节，针对进口产品中的知识产权侵权及其他不正当竞争行为开展的单边调查。
该调查基于 BoomCloud 360 Inc.于 2026 年 8 月 14 日提交、8 月 31 日补充的投诉。投诉方指控相关设备在进口美国并销售时侵犯其专利，违反 1930 年关税法第 337 条。投诉方请求 ITC 发布有限排除令和停止令。
ITC 表示，启动调查本身不构成对专利侵权的认定，也未就案件实质作出任何决定。案件将交由首席行政法官分配给一名行政法官审理。
行政法官将安排并举行证据听证会，就是否违反第 337 条作出初步裁定。该初步裁定需经 ITC 审查，ITC 将在尽可能早的时间作出最终决定。
ITC 将在立案后 45 天内设定完成调查的目标日期。337 案件救济命令发布即生效，并在发布 60 天后成为最终命令。除非美国贸易代表在 60 天内以政策理由否决，上述命令将维持效力。
The gay slang to know for your next vacation, according to Grindr
You might know every definition in the gay glossary — in English. But what about when you travel?
According to the hookup app Grindr, 41 percent of users have experienced slang getting lost in translation, and most have this happen before they meet someone in-person. A third (36 percent) said it happens over the app, while a smaller amount said it happens during an IRL conversation (17 percent) or hookup (14 percent). This is according to a Grindr survey of over 3,400 users done in early September.
And in some cases, Grindr users have faked it. Faked knowing what their date was saying, at least. Sixty-one percent said they pretended to understand what a match was saying and hoped context would save them. Over half (53 percent) said misunderstanding killed the mood.
"A guy asked if I wanted a 'dreier.' I heard 'dryer' and had absolutely no idea what he was suggesting. Turns out, 'dreier' is German for a threesome," a Grindr user told the app. Here's (just a) tip from Grindr: you're in a German-speaking country, know the words "jetzt" and "gleich." These are German for "now" or "in a moment," which could be useful to signal you're availability
Another user told the app, "I thought 'duchar' just meant to shower in Spanish, so I thought I knew exactly what the plan was. Turns out, he was talking about douching. Slightly different preparations required."
Here are some other Spanish gay slang you might want to learn: "passivo" means bottom; "activo" means top; "papi" means daddy; and "morbo" means something kinky, sexually exciting, or adventurous.
What about some other places? In South Asia, "panthi" refers to a masculine partner who tops, while "kothi" typically refers to a more feminine partner who bottoms. If you're visiting China, 1 is shorthand for top and 0 is shorthand for bottom. And if you're visiting a Portuguese-speaking country, "hospeda" refers to a host or someone who can accommodate.
Grindr's sex and relationship expert, Zachary Zane, said, "Language can make sex and flirting so much hotter, but take that language abroad and things can get messy pretty quickly." He also shared his own experience of this happening: "I once thought 'arriba' and 'abajo' meant top and bottom in Spanish, only to discover I was asking guys in Colombia if they were 'up' or 'down.'"
Grindr also has an in-app translation feature, too, so you can try it out in case you're stuck. The app shared with Mashable that 31 percent of users have picked up on a new phrase while abroad, so you might learn a word or two.
